0.25kg Coconut Shell Carbon
Use: Refractory for firing all Filamet™ materials in an open environment kiln.
Place the print in Al₂O₃, ensuring the entire print and all surfaces are completely covered and any protruding areas are fully supported. The print must be fully surrounded by the refractory. Then place 10mm of this refractory over the Al₂O₃ and cover with a stainless steel lid. Complete firing instructions
Stainless Steel 316L Filamet™ requires an oxygen-free environment. Copper and Bronze Filamet™ may be fired in an open environment. In this case, use Magic Black Powder to shield the print from oxygen or Al₂O₃ with Coconut Shell Carbon. See chart below.
