This Metal Printing Evaluation Kit comes with about 100g of Bronze Filamet™. With this kit, you can print and sinter the Universal Calibration Rings model twice. Includes sample green and sintered prints.
Specs: The Filament in this kit is available in 1.75mm only. It contains 88.0% - 90.0% metal and has a density of 4.29g/cc - 4.5g/cc.
High Compatibility: This Filamet™ enables any open-architecture Fused Filament Fabrication 3D printer to produce metal objects. Even works in 3D printing pens!
Easy to Print: All you need is an open architecture 3D printer, a 0.6mm hardened steel nozzle, and a model to print. Print like regular PLA. Place your spool so that the filament coming off is going straight into the extruder. The flow rate in your slicer may need to be adjusted up to 135%. Little to no warping occurs during printing.
Advanced Properties: Filamet™ is less hygroscopic than regular PLA. Filament dryers have adverse effects on Filamet™. Spools should not be dried.
Fully Sinterable Metal Filament: Once fired in a sintering furnace, the result is 100% metal. Instructions for sintering this product.
Sintering Refractories: Samples of Al2O3 and Magnesium Silicate are included in this kit to allow you to fully debind and sinter parts.
Oxygen Management: Samples of Sintering Carbon and Kiln Paper are included to keep oxygen away from your parts in the crucible. Simply add a thick layer of Sintering Carbon to the top of the crucible then lay a sheet of Kiln Paper over it to protect your part from oxygen as it sinters.
Crucible: Included with this kit is a 118mL Stainless Steel Crucible. Expected lifespan of Stainless Steel Crucibles is 3-4 cycles.
Special Qualities: Easiest material to print and sinter. Perfect material to begin with.
Metal Printing Evaluation Kit is Used For: Partner Innovators have used this filament for research.
Eliminate tooling and machining costs for short run manufacturing, prototyping, and one-off metal part needs.
Note: All sales final except in cases of defective product.
