FAQ:
❓ Can I print this on my printer?
✅ Filamet™ is compatible with nearly all FFF/FDM based 3D printers on the market. Switch out the nozzle for a 0.6mm hardened steel nozzle and get printing! The list of printers that have been used and the ones that are not compatible can be found here: https://thevirtualfoundry.com/trusted-printers/
❓ Can I sinter Rapid 3DShield Tungsten Filament?
✅ No, tungsten sinters at about 2734°C (4953°F), which is not an attainable temperature for most furnaces. Rapid 3DShield Tungsten is intended to be used in its green state. All radiation data on this filament is from green state testing.
❓ How strong are parts right off the printer?
✅ They are quite a bit stronger than you may expect. You can throw them around a little and handle them just fine. Generally, they will not handle load nearly as well as the base PLA would on its own.
Due to a global supply crunch and shifting export controls, tungsten market prices have reached historic highs in early 2026, directly impacting our raw material costs. We have adjusted our pricing to reflect these current market conditions and remain committed to lowering our rates as soon as global supply stabilizes and tungsten prices retreat.
