Everything you need to print and sinter real 316L stainless steel parts—in one kit. The Stainless Steel 316L Print and Sinter Kit combines Filamet™ filament with the consumables required for debinding and sintering, so you can go from CAD to metal on any open-architecture FDM printer.

• 0.5kg or 1.0kg Stainless Steel 316L Filamet™ (1.75mm or 2.85mm)

• Filawarmer

• 300mL Alumina Crucible

• 1kg Steel Blend

• 0.5kg Sintering Carbon

Filament Density:
3.45g/cc – 3.55g/cc

Metal Content:
80.0% – 85.0% 316L stainless steel

Easy Printing Experience:

• Print with a 0.6mm hardened steel, standard flow nozzle

• Prints similar to PLA

• Minimal to no warping

• Ensure the filament feeds straight into the extruder

• Less hygroscopic than PLA

  • Do not dry this filament—drying will degrade the binder

Fully Sinterable:

❓ Can I print this on my printer?
✅ Filamet™ is compatible with nearly all FFF/FDM based 3D printers on the market. Switch out the nozzle for a 0.6mm hardened steel nozzle and get printing! ❓ What sintering equipment do I need?
✅ You need a kiln capable of reaching at least 1200°C in an inert or reducing atmosphere. The TVF Sintering Kiln, FireX, and FireX Max are all compatible with Stainless Steel 316L. See our debind and sinter instructions for full profiles.

❓ How strong are parts right off the printer?
✅ They are quite a bit stronger than you may expect. You can throw them around a little and handle them just fine. Generally, they will not handle load nearly as well as the base PLA would on its own.
